The roasting module it will make you understand the roasting process, how it happens and how to control the sensory aspects of the coffee by changing the roasting curve or the degree of roasting. Furthermore, this module includes the study of roasting defects, the physical changes of the beans during roasting, as well as the management of workspaces and production optimization.

In particular the Intermediate Roasting Course is based on the foundations of the previous level and explores roasting defects, the physical changes of the beans during roasting and the managerial management of production methods and spaces

The course is theoretical/practical (after the practical part and the demonstration you will work personally, supported by the Tutor, with the equipment).

The Intermediate Roasting Course includes:

  • basic lunch
  • use of professional equipment
  • participation certificate
  • handouts to review after the course
  • didactic material (pen and notebook)
  • … and of course we remain available for any doubts you may have in the following months!


The course does NOT include:

  • membership of SCA, if necessary (the prices displayed for certification are reserved for SCA Members), which is to be paid separately via form.
